formed in me

we're undeserving of any praise, reward, or accolade. we strive after obedience to our King, even at the expense of our own reputation or status. we're learning that leadership in His economy is found in servant hood. we humble ourselves before men for His names sake. we pray to love as He loved, to desire what He desires, and to die as He died.

we're completely awestruck by His incredible provision. we're surrounded by brothers and sisters who bless us in ways we'll never fully comprehend.

and yet how often do we consider ourselves before others, how often do we expect to be compensated for our efforts... He beckons we die to ourselves, knowing He is faithful to take care of all our needs. that we would give out of the overflowing fullness that comes from Him.

may our groans never cease until the day we see Him face to face.
For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
2 Corinthians 5:4 (NIV)
